June 2010 - new monthly schedule/ Q&A/Meet&Greet

We have decided to have a structured monthly event schedule which will include an event on the first Friday and last Saturday each month (except in the event of a Bank Holiday where theyll be the week before or after). Weve found in recent months that most people prefer to wait until the weekend to go out & network/ socialise, and that the majority of you also prefer the more general nights out, so for the next few months were going to go with that. Obviously this isnt set in stone and we want to continue to offer other options - ie cookery demonstrations, wine tasting, lunches, dinners, book clubs, Cosmopolitan Dates* etc. but for the moment were going to run with a schedule most suited to the majority. * - we will definitely be re-visiting Cosmopolitan Dates events down the line, and have some really useful plans in place so please watch this space - I can discuss this further with you at the Q&A/Meet&Greet!



3. Also listening to feedback, in July we are introducing a monthly Q&A/ Meet&Greet which will be the middle Wednesday of each month, starting Wednesday 14th July, 7.30-9.30pm. There is no charge for this monthly meeting - think of it as your opportunity to check in with us perhaps on your way home from work or after that!

The aim of this is to offer a facility for members & prospective members to drop in and say hi, have a coffee/ drink, put forward any queries you may have that we can answer, bring along any friends/ colleagues you may have who would be interested in getting involved in Cosmopolitan Events & who would like to chat about what its all about, be shown how to use the new website (we can show you how to set up a profile on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. as well which we have links to from www.cosmopolitanevents.ie), discuss our events & any event that you are thinking of for your own personal/ professional needs, & meet some of the other members. We will be in The Shelbourne Hotel on these Wednesdays to meet you!
