Apologies for 2 emails this week, we just wanted to send you an update in relation to Cosmopolitan Events membership structures for this year, and also information about our Social Media Marketing & Tailormade Events services.
We were delighted to welcome so many familiar and new faces at our 4 Year Anniversary Party last week, and have worked very hard over the last number of months starting with the Customer Appreciation Event at the end of September 2011, where we also gave existing members 3 additional months to the yearly membership as a PR gesture to say thank you for being a part of the companys success - its so appreciated, and all the fantastic feedback not to mention connections made on the night has been so positive.
We will continue to provide additional membership benefits such as this type of event or any other special things that I get invited to such as launch parties or openings where I can bring additional attendees - this has happened so many times since the company was launched in February 2008.
Weve kept our rates the same since the company was launched in February 2008, to show our commitment to providing both value and customer focus in light of the current economic situation. Our structure is that everyone can attend one event as a test drive to see if Cosmopolitan Events is for you, which we do hope it will be, after which we are delighted to invite you to join as a member and benefit from all that entails.
Just to re-cap on our structure for attending events & membership as so many have been asking me this week, Ive laid it out below - please let me know if you have any queries at all!
Yearly membership fee - 175.00 Euro per person per year - can be done on our site http://www.cosmopolitanevents.ie
Yearly membership renewal fee - 160.00 Euro per year - can be done on our site http://www.cosmopolitanevents.ie
90.00 Euro for 6 months - can be done via Bank Transfer or cheque
50.00 Euro for 3 months - can be done via Bank Transfer or cheque
18.00 Euro approximately per person per event, which includes entry, & reserved seating in a VIP location thats part of the events structure, & of course a variety of different people to mingle with! It can also, depending on the venue, include some finger food/ bar bites or welcome drink.
Tailormade Events - Upon request, we are delighted to have been chosen to organise & plan so many tailormade events for both company/ professional or personal needs. We are frequently asked to advise, help & come up with ideas for events, whether its staff or client entertainment, or for a special birthday, anniversary or engagement event. Benefit from the strong relationships that we have with so many fantastic venues, and our knowledge of whats available out there - restaurants, bars, hotels & clubs in Dublin, not to mention saving yourself so much time in all the planning that goes into thse events!
Social Media Marketing - We have spent 4 years (Feb. 2008-Feb.2012) building the Cosmopolitan Events brand through the careful and relevant use of the ever emerging & evolving social media marketing platforms that are available. This is in addition to recommendations, testimonials & our own PR management. As our reputation & the business in general has grown, on request I have undertaken the management of various social media marketing campaigns for other small & medium sized businesses. We can be trusted to work closely with you our valued customers, through ongoing communications in order that your exact visions for your growth & message is adhered to.

Benefits of Membership to Cosmopolitan Events
1. Invitation to every Cosmopolitan Event - prospective members can
attend one event as a test drive prior to joining.
2. Opportunity to refer friends, colleagues & family for membership.
3. Opportunity to add (to certain events where space is available)
additional names to an event.
4. Members are on occasion invited to additional separate events such as
launch parties/ free theatre tickets etc.
5. Members will be able to leave all the hassle out of planning their
Social Networking activities to Cosmopolitan Events when
they join - theyll have ease of access to some of the most exclusive
venues in town when they come along to the organised events - all the
phone calls, planning, negotiating etc. will be done by us, and members
will benefit from the relationships we have with our varying partners/
6. Members will avail of certain group discounts / special arrangements
negotiated by Cosmopolitan Events for a large variety of events
throughout the year.
7. On certain special occasions, members also benefit on request (&
subject to availability/ approval from the respective venues) from our
contacts by securing guest list status at certain salubrious venues if
they are planning a night out separate to attending Cosmopolitan Events.
8. Members additionally benefit from special deals negotiated with our
reciprocal partners - see point 6 below!
9. Tailormade Events - We are frequently asked to organise specific
corporate and/ or private events - someones birthday, a staff event,
engagement parties etc. as people recognise that they can benefit from
the strong relationships Cosmopolitan Events has grown with so many
venues & also our knowledge of places to go & whats happening -
restaurants/ bars/ clubs/ hotels etc. - please contact us for further
details about tailormade events!
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE & MEMBERSHIP - in booking & attending
the events &/ or signing up for membership it is understood that you
have read, understood & accept these terms & conditions. They are in
place to ensure the smooth running of the events & business in general,
so everyone benefits as much as possible!
1. Booking tickets & deadlines & signing up for membership to
Cosmopolitan Events -
If possible, when you are looking at attending an event, please let us
know by e-mail first and by the deadline date/ time given. This is to
make sure that we can put you down on our guest list which we usually
give to the venues in advance, and also to see if we can fit everyone in
who wants to go as we always have a certain amount of space/ seats etc.

and time given that would be fantastic - again to allow us to organise/
plan in advance with the venues. They always need to know how many
people are attending, what seating/ food etc. they need to allow for. We
want to continue to build on the great relationships we have with all
our partners who always go above and beyond to look after our groups, so
we all benefit!
Tickets booked for events are non-refundable and non-transferable. The
yearly membership fees of 175.00 Euro for 1 year, 90.00 Euro for 6
months & 50.00 Euro for 3 months are also non-refundable, as is the
renewal fee of 160.00 Euro per year. See Point 6 for further details in
relation to this.
2. The 1 event rule/ joining Cosmopolitan Events as a member -
For anyone who has been to an event already as their test drive - i.e.
an opportunity to get a brief feel for how things work - we would be
delighted to invite you to apply for membership. We charge non-members
the same as full-members for this 1st event to be as accommodating as
possible to all. As weve also kept the rates as reasonable as we
possibly can we always abide by the one event rule - this also means
that everyone knows that they have been treated fairly and equally -
particularly at the moment when were all much more conscious of
finances! Please note that at times membership levels may be full but we
will communicate that with you as and when that arises!
We can assure you that we will continue to offer the most variable,
frequent events, in salubrious locations as always since the company was
launched in February 2008, & that you can trust that we will always do
our very best to make sure that you enjoy and benefit from becoming a
member, for whichever reasons you have joined!
3. Start and end times for your Cosmopolitan Events -
In general, for each event we hold a meet & greet 30 minutes after the
start time - so 8.30pm if the event starts at 8.00pm etc. In order for
us to continue to successfully meet your needs, we want to make sure
everyone has arrived and has been introduced so that we can all carry on
enjoying the event and talking to our new contacts! If you are going to
be late, please let us know so we can allow for that and make sure we
can look after you all properly and work with the doormen/ management.
Generally, an indication of the times for the evening events will be
between 8pm-11pm, so 3 hours. As always of course if we wish to we can
continue to enjoy the evening after that - but the early part is the
most important time (lunchtime/ theatre/ dinner etc. will be subject to
whenever they are booked for!)
4. Participation & general format of your Cosmopolitan Events -
We strive to have a varied, regular event calendar for you to enjoy and
benefit from - on average 3 or 4 per month. We welcome any feedback and
suggestions as its all about making sure that everyones needs are
catered for as much as possible. Members & prospective members are
encouraged to attend and participate in as many events as possible -
this is to ensure as big a group as possible at each one, so that
everyone gets to meet as many new people as possible, thereby maximising
the benefits associated with joining! At all events, we have a relaxed
and informal atmosphere.
Upon arrival, we are there to meet & greet you!
We encourage everyone to mingle and will help with introductions to
other attendees, but we are aware that everyone is different and
therefore make sure that each person is happy and comfortable in their
own way. We are always on hand to help with anything in this regard.
Everyone is invited to each event - both existing & prospective members,
via our e-mail mailing list, advertising campaigns and also our varying
additional networks - Reciprocal Links/ Facebook/ LinkedIn/ Twitter etc.
Cosmopolitan Events encourages a friendly atmosphere which is imperative
for the smooth running of events. For each event, & in particular the
larger events, we give the venue a guest list of our attendees in
advance of the event. We are of course there at the discretion & in
respect of each venues policies, rules and regulations - ie entry/
dress code/ conduct. Please note that anti-social or aggressive
behaviour towards Cosmopolitan Events and/ or any of the staff/ venues
that we use for events is not tolerated and may result in members/
prospective members being removed from the venue and/ or Cosmopolitan
5. Cost of events & membership/ joining Cosmopolitan Events -
Generally, events are between 16-20 Euro per person per event and are
pre-paid online by the date/ time given. For events where there are
drinks/ canapes/ dinner/ cookery demonstrations/ speakers etc. included
the cost will be shown at the time.
Our membership rates are 175.00 per year, 160.00 for renewals, 90.00 for
6 months & 50.00 for 3 months! The rates have not increased since the
company was launched in February 2008 in light of the current economic

www.realexpayments.ie - our secure online Payments Provider in
association with AIB Merchant Services. You will receive an e-mail
straight away for your records as will Cosmopolitan Events to confirm
that youve joined!
The 6 month - 90.00 Euro - & 3 month - 50.00 Euro joining fees are
payable by Bank Transfer or by cheque. You will also receive an e-mail
from us to confirm payment received and that youre a member!
As mentioned in Point 1, these event & membership joining fees are
non-refundable & non-transferable. Also, as mentioned in Point 2, please
note that at times membership levels may be full but we will communicate
that with you as and when that arises!
